About
Rachel Roberts
Rachel is an Australian artist-illustrator, who creates original drawings by hand. She explores different mediums, styles and effects, but often returns to her first loves; pencil drawing and portraiture.
Rachel's work is published in books and magazines, and she illustrated the award-winning children’s picture book, Books Don't Need Batteries. Her larger works on paper have been exhibited in Australia. She produces work on commission - as part of a collaborative team or independently.
While Rachel is mostly self-taught, she studied drawing techniques at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. She holds a philosophy degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
