Rachel Roberts is a narrative and figurative illustrator based in the vibrant coastal city of Newcastle, Australia. Working primarily in traditional mediums including graphite, pastel and ink, she creates rich character-driven scenes where the human form becomes the emotional anchor for a broader narrative. This approach suits her work's focus on themes of identity and human connection.

Rachel's hand-rendered illustrations have been featured on book covers, in independent publications, and she illustrated the award-winning children’s picture book, Books Don't Need Batteries. Her larger works on paper have been exhibited in Canberra and regional New South Wales.

While Rachel is mostly self-taught, she studied drawing techniques at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. She holds a philosophy degree from the University of NSW, Australia.
